Yana Miles

Yana Miles is General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Head of Regulatory Affairs at American Fintech Council (AFC) leading on a variety of innovation in lending issues, along with corporate governance and regulations. Prior to AFC, Yana served as Senior Counsel on the House Financial Services Committee under Chairwoman Maxine Waters, covering fair lending issues, banking, credit reporting, debt collection, student loans, consumer rights, fintech/innovation, and the economic and racial wealth gap. Yana has also served as senior legislative counsel at Center for Responsible Lending, a fellow with the Fair Housing Project of the Washington Lawyers’ Committee and was staff with the House Democratic Caucus on Capitol Hill. Yana holds a JD degree from the Georgetown University Law Center and enjoys social networking in her spare time.
