Stephen Hawkins

Over 25 years as a leader and entrepreneur in the credit industry, Stephen Hawkins championed technological innovation at every turn. He believes empowering businesses to make inclusive, data-driven financial decisions can create a more equitable economy. In the ‘90s, he introduced early credit reporting software that brought the credit industry online. In 2001, he co-founded his first national Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) with Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, joining the elite ranks of the few credit bureau-certified organizations. He has founded three CRAs in his career. An early innovator in credit API technology, he pushed the boundaries of online credit reporting to power the industry with data-driven automation. Today, Stephen is the CEO and co-founder of CRS, the premier platform for credit data, fraud, and compliance, powering data-driven, frictionless financial decisions. CRS is a subsidiary of Credit Reporting Services, Inc., a trusted CRA since 2006.
