Michael Mattone

Michael Mattone is the Chief Retail Banking & Experience Officer at Navigant Credit Union, a $3.4 billion asset sized institution based in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Joining Navigant in January 2023, Mattone oversees the operations of all of Navigant’s retail banking channels, including expansion initiatives, branch administration, contact center, marketing, NCU Wealth Management and more. As a member of the Executive team, Mattone also plays a critical role in identifying and developing short- and long-term strategies that will advance Navigant Credit Union’s mission. He spent 15 years working in credit unions prior to joining Navigant Credit Union, most recently as Vice President of Community Impact at Mid-Hudson Valley FCU in Kingston, N.Y, where he led efforts related to branch expansion and transformation, financial literacy, and business development. He also served in Vice President roles at Hudson River Financial FCU in Mohegan Lake, N.Y. and Municipal Credit Union in New York City.
