Jeff Finocchiaro is the Fraud Chief Data Scientist and leads the Fraud Advanced Analytics and Modeling group at Bank of America. His team is responsible for using sophisticated quantitative methods such as machine learning and graph analytics to identify and prevent fraud on the portfolio. His team is also responsible for the first-line governance of all fraud models, and also supporting key technological projects to lower our total cost of fraud. He joined the firm in November, 2018.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Jeff worked for nearly 18 years at Citi in a variety of leadership roles in Risk Management and Fraud, including as Head of Fraud Analytics and Cyber Fraud Analytics for Citi Global Consumer Bank, and other positions focusing on Collections, Account Management, and First Party Fraud.
Jeff earned a Bachelors degree in mathematics from Johns Hopkins University and a Master’s degree in operations research from the University of Delaware. He currently resides in Newark, Delaware.
