Erica Khalili

Erica Khalili joined Lead Bank on August 1st as part of the recent acquisition. She currently serves as the Chief Legal and Risk Officer. Prior to joining Lead Bank, Ms. Khalili spent over 6 years at Block, Inc. (formerly Square, Inc.) within their Counsel Team serving as Deputy General Counsel and General Counsel to Block’s internal bank entity - Square Financial Services. Ms. Khalili led the cross functional counsel team charged with oversight of the Square Capital program as well as other banking and financial services product offerings. Before joining Block, Inc. Ms. Khalili was a member of the Banking and Finance practices at Mayer Brown LLP and Baker McKenzie LLP counseling clients on structured products; bank regulatory issues and fintech regulatory issues. Ms. Khalili holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois and a JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and New York.
