Alan Thomes

As the Managing Director of SBA Banking for Cadence Bank, Alan Thomes is responsible for all aspects of the bank’s SBA loan production and portfolio management. Cadence Bank (NYSE: CADE) is a leading regional bank with approximately $50 billion in assets and over 350 branches across nine states. Under his leadership, Cadence Bank completed the 2022 SBA fiscal year as the tenth largest originator of SBA 7(a) loans nationwide.

Alan has over 28 years of lending experience, with nearly 20 years of SBA specific experience. He is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU and obtained the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation for treasury management. Alan served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Banker’s Association as the President of the Leadership GBA Executive Committee. Alan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Winthrop University. He and his wife Ashley have two grown children and live in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA.
