Tom Burnside

As CEO of LendingPoint, Tom brings over 25 years of experience to the company’s day-to-day operations – helping consumers across the credit spectrum, from 550 to 850 FICO, unlock access to affordable loans and live better financial lives.

Throughout his career, Tom has worked closely with the world’s largest Fortune 500 credit card companies, transaction processors, and financial services companies. Prior to LendingPoint, Tom was president and chief operating officer of CAN Capital (formerly Capital Access Network), where he designed, developed, and implemented CAN’s credit-scoring model that identifies ideal lending conditions across short-term maturity. In his 13-year role with CAN Capital, Tom guided over 150,000 small businesses in their quest to secure over $4 billion in loans and cash advances. Prior to CAN Capital, he served as GM of Telecheck for 11 years.
