Jay Woods

Jay Woods serves as Chief Market Strategist for DriveWealth Institutional. Prior to joining DriveWealth, he served as an Executive Floor Governor at the NYSE, a position which is voted upon by his peers and held by only six NYSE members.

Jay spent over 25 years as a Designated Market Maker on the NYSE floor. He got his start with Spear, Leeds and Kellogg, then joined Goldman Sachs for 14 years and moved on to IMC after Goldman divested their floor operation. As DMM he was responsible for several high-profile IPO’s and led trading in some of the most active issues at the NYSE.

Jay received his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University. He received his CMT designation in 2017 and is co-Chair of the NY Chapter of the CMT Association. He serves as a mentor with the Scholars of Finance and speaks regularly about financial literacy with local high schools and universities.
