Barry Spain

Barry Spain, Chief Credit Officer at Tribal, drives Tribal’s credit strategy and leads account and portfolio management, honing his expertise in credit analytics, data management, underwriting, and regulatory requirements. Before joining Tribal, Barry spent 15 years leading global analytics programs for HSBC’s retail bank in the US, Latin America, Asia, and the UK. Barry has more than 20 years of global finance and risk experience across multinational and regional banks as well as fintech start-ups, where he executed complex finance, credit, and analytical processes on evolving technological platforms. Barry holds a degree in Finance & Accounting from the University of Cincinnati.
