Wagner Ruiz

With extensive knowledge in cross-border trade and electronic payments which have been acquired through over 15 years of experience within the financial world, Wagner Ruiz is Co-founder and Board Member of EBANX. As a global financial expert, Wagner was EBANX’s Chief Financial Officer for more than 9 years since the foundation of the company in 2012, and designed all EBANX’s cross-border payments infrastructure, acting behind the financial architecture linking EBANX to the world. In May 2021, he became Chief Risk Officer, focused on the company’s risk management, strategic partnerships and regulatory operation, essential pillars in its growth. Wagner studied Economics at Mackenzie University in Brazil and is a specialist of fintech finance, regulatory systems - how to interact with them and how to be disruptive -, risk and compliance, and business opportunities in times of crisis.
