Sankaet Pathak

Sankaet came to the US from India to study Computer Engineering, Mathematical Sciences, and Physics at the University of Memphis. His experience of not being able to open a bank account due to immigrant status, prompted him to launch a financial technology company to reduce barriers for underbanked or unbanked individuals. Through his efforts, Sankaet found the true barrier to entry was an outdated banking infrastructure which kept everyday folks from accessing best-in-class financial products. Today, Synapse services 15M users and processes $67B in transactions annually. Synapse customers range from enterprises to early and late stage FinTech companies offering innovative financial solutions that are accessible and affordable for consumers and businesses. In 2022 Sankaet was recognized as a Top 50 Financial Technology CEO by Financial Technology Report, and Synapse was ranked #92 in Financial Services on the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list.
