Mr. Schwarzkopf is an Ecuadorian-American serial entrepreneur. He is the Founder and CEO of Kushki, a payment infrastructure company in Latin America. Most recently he served as Founder and CEO of Leaf, a financial technology company based in Cambridge, MA. Leaf was purchased in 2014 by Heartland Payment Systems (now Global Payments NYSE: GPN).
In his various roles within the Financial Technology space, Mr. Schwarzkopf has focused primarily on developing the new generation of money, Mobile Operating System for commerce, Mobile Point of Sale Applications, and consumable APIs for an enterprise toolset. Furthermore, he is accredited as one of the first executives to introduce an “Open Platform” approach to the merchant acquiring industry.
Mr. Schwarzkopf is an active Angel Investor, and a Mentor to Techstars and New York Angels entrepreneurs, occupying several advisory and board seats in start-ups. He was raised in Quito, Ecuador, but now resides with his wife and daughters in Miami, Florida. Mr. Schwarzkopf attended Singularity University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Babson College.
