Arjuna Costa is a passionate investor focused on building a fairer financial system for vulnerable populations in emerging markets. He works closely with early-stage fintech entrepreneurs in Latin America and Africa who are building next-gen technologies to empower individuals and small businesses with access to financial services.
Previously, Arjuna was a partner at Omidyar Network where he built a global portfolio of inclusive fintech companies. Through his work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Rohatyn Group, an emerging markets investment firm, Arjuna developed a deep understanding of how digital financial solutions can radically alter traditional “brick-and-mortar” economics. He started his career at Lehman Brothers before co-founding a PE fund in Africa focused on turning around distressed commercial banks and advising governments on restructuring the banking sector.
Arjuna earned an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and a BA degree from Columbia University.
