OakNorth, a successful new challenger bank in the UK, is calling on the UK Treasury to use Brexit as an opportunity for regulatory reform in banking. They argue that Brexit presents an opportunity to move the UK away from the European Banking Authority’s onerous Basel standards that must be adhered to by all banks regardless of size.
