Pepe Bolaños

Pepe is Managing Partner at Cometa, one of the most active software seed and Series A VC firms in Latin America. Pepe has a decade of experience in early-stage VC investing in Spanish-speaking markets. Some companies within Cometa’s portfolio include unicorns Bitso, Cabify, Glovo, and Wallapop and post series C platforms like Kueski, Welcome Tech, and Gaia. Pepe sits on the boards of Kueski, Simetrik, Yotepresto, Guros, Hunty, and Bnext.

Before joining Cometa, Pepe was the Managing Director of the Mexican Chapter of Cognodata; a Spanish consultancy focused on mathematical models directed at improving customer strategy and reducing risk for key clients. These included top banks, retailers, and telcos in Latin America. Previously, Pepe worked as Case Team Leader in Bain & Company, leading financial services and oil & gas projects.
