Carlos Alonso Torras

Carlos is a Principal on the investments team at FinTech Collective and leads the firm’s work in emerging markets. Prior to joining FinTech Collective, Carlos was COO of Suyo - a Colombian, VC-backed tech startup focused on property document formalization, which he helped scale to four different cities. Previously, he began his career as an FX options trader for JPMorgan Chase’s NYC desk. Carlos received a BA & BS (magna cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania’s Huntsman Program. He completed an MBA at Wharton and MPA at the Harvard Kennedy School. He has lived in ten cities across six different countries and is fluent in four languages.
