Santiago Gómez

Santiago is Co-founder and COO at Simetrik, a one-stop back-office toolbox for the payments industry of the future. Simetrik was founded in 2019, has presence in 28 countries and processes 80 billion dollars annually for companies such as Mercado Libre, Nubank, Banco Falabella, Rappi and Bancolombia. Santiago has a bachelor in business administration from the Universidad de los Andes and is a specialist in Financial Administration from the same university. He began his professional career in the entrepreneurship ecosystem at Endeavor Colombia, a global organization that promotes high-impact entrepreneurship.

In 2016, Santiago joined Alejandro Casas at Ropeo, a last-mile logistics and clothing e-commerce platform that in 2018 was selected by Y Combinator. But driven by the idea of creating a company that was technology based and looking into solving with a SaaS solution all those financial challenges experienced with Ropeo, Santiago and Alejandro pivot to what is now Simetrik. Simetrik has more than 60 clients worldwide around LATAM, EMEA and APAC and is backed by venture capital such as FinTech Collective, Tiger Global, Moore Capital, Cometa and Monashees.
