Lauren joined QED as a Partner in 2019, where she focuses on international investments.
Prior toQED, Lauren spent 15 years as an operator and investor at Capital One Financial. There she led teams specializing in risk analytics, product development and marketing for both secured and unsecured products, with a frequent focus on underbanked populations. Beyond Capital One, Lauren also worked for a consumer lending start-up in San Francisco, and a P2P lender in China, and a data analytics company acquired by EBay in 2013.
Lauren is passionate about helping entrepreneurs build innovative, customer-driven products that scale, and has a deep personal interest in bringing un- and under-banked segments into the financial mainstream. She holds a MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Economics and Literature from the University of Virginia.
When not traveling or meeting with entrepreneurs, Lauren spends her free time aspiring to grow grapes in Virginia’s wine country (which isn’t easy!).
