Eduardo Coello is the Regional President of Visa Inc. for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). With 20 years at Visa, he is responsible for all the operations in the 44 markets and territories of the region, including business development and relationship management with clients, financial institutions, merchants, fintechs and other Visa partners.
Under his leadership, Visa’s footprint in LAC has grown with the addition of new offices in Panama, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Argentina. This expansion fosters the adoption of new payment technologies that accelerates the migration from cash to electronic payments.
Prior to his current role, Eduardo Coello was Senior Vice President for Visa LAC, where he led business development efforts and relationships with clients in the Caribbean, Andean, Central America, and South Cone regions. Before that, he was the Country Manager of Visa Mexico for 5 years.
Eduardo has more than 25 years of experience in the business and financial sector. Prior to joining Visa in 2000, he held several positions at Procter & Gamble and Bancomer Mexico.
He has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Monterrey Technological Institute in Mexico.
