Diego Herrera

Diego Herrera is a Lead Specialist at the Connectivity, Markets, and Finance Division at the Inter-American Development Bank. Besides his lending activities, among others, he leads FintechLAC, a Digital Finance public-private group, supporting public policy. Before his tenure at IDB, he was Superintendent for Market Risk and Integrity and Market Risk Chief at the Colombian financial regulator. He also was the CRO for the largest securities company in Colombia, among other roles in the private sector in Colombia. Diego is a Master of Science in Risk Management from New York University-Stern School of Business and earned MA and BA degrees in Economics from Universidad del Rosario in Colombia.
