Rafa de la Guia

Rafa is a Partner at Quona Capital, an early-stage venture fund focused on fintech in emerging markets. He lives in Mexico City and invests across Latin America.

Prior to joining Quona, Rafa spent six years at Omidyar Network in the Bay Area, where he invested in technology, education, and financial inclusion startups in LatAm and the US. Rafa started his career in London, where he worked at MV Credit, a leading European subordinated debt fund manager, and at the healthcare M&A group at UBS Investment Bank.

He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley and honors degrees in law and economics from ICADE. Rafa is also an executive coach and serves on the board of Laboratoria, an education nonprofit supporting women in tech.
