Iván Canales, from Monterrey, has taken financial technology to its maximum expression, both in Mexico and abroad through his almost 20 years of work experience.
Today, as General Manger of Nu Mexico, he focuses on understanding the Mexican consumer in order to create an unparalleled product experience that helps fulfill the company’s mission of fighting complexity and bureaucracy.
Iván divides his time within Nu between the areas of engineering, product, design, customer operations and marketing, in addition to leading the NuPride affinity group in Nu Mexico due to his previous experience with the LGBTTTIAQ+ community in companies such as Amazon and universities such as Stanford.
Before joining Nu, Iván was Product Manager at BlackRock (FutureAdvisor) where he led a multidisciplinary team of Product Managers, Designers and Engineers. He has also collaborated in other companies in the technology, financial and business sectors such as: Amazon, Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch.
